Finding this really tedious... may DNF.

My first Sally Rooney. I'm shocked too!

This is the exact kind of unhinged book I've been looking for since I read Elaine Hsieh Chou's Disorientation in 2022.

This book is so freaking sad.

So far, I am not liking this. I dont like the writing style or the characters. But committed to reading a bit more before deciding to DNF or not.

I was super stoked to read this, but Phoebe is reading pretty juvenile for a 29 year old...

I suspect I will be DNFing this. Somehow, reading about snobby, rich, white people in the west end of NY is just not as compelling as the original. Finding it really hard to find any empathy for these characters. Also, where is the wry Austen humour? The awareness is just not there.
