Hmmm… I find myself at a quandary. I like Ezra Squall. I think he is the only person focus on solving problems. But he’s supposed to be evil.

Finally! We have lift off. And let me tell you, the descriptions were… Whew… Not my thing…

Ok. Why are we fussing over this elf boy, when they have sheets that clean themselves, clothes that clean and repair themselves, and fancy shadow portals? We need to our priorities straight.

Also, we have a new almost sexy times encounter. It’s like they are trying to build suspense.

Official predictions: she can pull the quicksilver out of him in the end. Either she becomes immortal or him gives it up.

Aha… loss of bodily autonomy. Sexy. At least we get a change of scenery.

Just finished chapter 12. Sitting in a Mexican restaurant. Shame shame shame. There was more licking.

Over a hundred pages and no sexy times. Of course we’ve lusted over the main man (don’t take all our fun). And we have the Twilight “I’m so plain compared to all of you” fun.

It was almost like reading a teen dystopian fantasy… until the part - you know the part - when the LICKING began… what an adventure this will be.

So far it's pretty good. Not my normal genre so my comparisons may not line up exactly. The style reminds me of Neil Gaiman.

I mean, it's kind of like I'm reliving the life. It's slow going cause I keep having to sigh and reflect.

So far so good. Except, I don't smell coffee anymore. I know I smell like coffee, but I can't smell it unless I stuff my face in a bag of beans. The book kind of makes me miss it.

I don't usually post updates, but it's coronavirus season, so why not? Also, the author gave me the book to read, so a little extra effort is the least I can do.

12 pages in and I'm already having flashbacks to closing shift's impossible task of cleaning up after opening shift and then then making sure nothing is left undone for said opening shift. Understaffed and underappreciated. 10/10 for authenticity so far.

Now that my reading challenge is done, I don't want to finish another book this year. That apparently means reading four books 3/4 of the way through.

fifty some odd pages to go. I'm in such a slump and don't want to read. gonna finish it tonight come hell or high water.

I promise this book is next. I can't even remember when I started it. I probably need to start over.

Not for everyone, but it is rare that a book sends me scurrying to my Bible to reread a story.

Alright Haley, here is your update. First, my book has only 353 pages, not 409. Secondly, I ship Adam and Blue hardcore and I don't care that I'll probably be wrong. I shouldn't be wrong. And thirdly, Call a is by far the most interesting character thus far.

This one will do nicely.

Seems good so far! I'm gonna need to read one concurrently though cause it is a bit hefty.
