i was in the library researching for my sociology essay from 6pm to 4am last night, and i found this book in the stacks and knew i had to read it again immediately.

continuing my unintentional series of reading the source material for tv shows i love and discovering that sometimes the book is worse

devastating. rachel reid completely incapable of writing emotion in her prose.

it SO funny how they’re all like “of course we have another partner, james. james might not yet realise that he is our boyfriend but of course he is going to, soon.” also i wish there was more than one male narrator on this audiobook because wow these men are hard to tell apart. i also wish they didn’t talk like disney villains but whatever that’s too many wishes

my favourite part of reading emily rath books is finding all of the really interesting character details and seeds that have been planted that could be really interestingly explored by another author. but she gleefully doesn’t care. this would be such a good book if someone else wrote it but literally nobody else would write this.

i wish i could tell these men apart

i want to amend my statement because i think specifically the narrators of this audiobook kind of hate women. every female character apart from rosalie has a simpering, high pitched, nasal voice, and has been read in the meanest, most annoying tone possible. i think if i were reading this myself, i would be way more generous to the girls ?? like they might not be friends of rosalie but they’re not Evil
