I might have to switch to reading the kindle version instead of listening to the audio book. Not because the narrator is bad but because it’s just going too slow for me, even sped up. I don’t know if Fourth Wing came out before this book or not but so far it feels like Fourth Wing did it better. I just don’t really care much about any of the characters yet. Maybe her sister, but that’s about it.

That's what happens when you only really make effort to look into the curse once in the whole time you've been back in town.

Finally! They are actively doing something to learn about a book that may end up being related to the curse. It should not have taken this long.

I don’t know when they’re gonna get around to trying to break this curse.

I feel like intersting things are finally happening again.

I don’t know if this is fair to say because it started off interesting but for the last few hours of the audiobook the writing has felt very wattpad. Like there is a great epic romatasy book here underneath the hours of nothing happening. I’m going to listen until the end but so far it is not as good as I thought it would be. Hopefully then ending makes it worth it.

So far there are no redeeming qualities of Jaxon and I dislike Jada for entertaining any kind of attraction, even in her mind, for this asshat.
