This is giving me vibes of Disney’s Up in that the elder neighbor is at first only tolerant of the young girl next door while reflecting on her past (losing her father to the war, sister as a child) as she considers an assisted ending of her life (with dignity), and yet a feelings blossom. I’m enjoying the writing.

It also reminds me a bit of “The Seven Rules of Elvira Carr” which was a 5 star book for me.

I accessed and early review copy, that didn’t fully load (slow browsing on my end), but what I saw was adorable. This is going to be a huge hit just like the rest of the series. Best part, it’s for kids! I’m definitely gonna look at it for my creative little gal. I bet she will be excited about it.

Oh, my goodness! Just finished Chapter 10 and trying to hold in a cackling laugh while everyone else is asleep. Cats and butlers have never come together to build such a fabulous scene before. I adore this series!

I’m reading a library copy, past my bedtime and getting irrationally angrier at the previous reader who felt the need to fold the pages...IN A HARDCOVER LIBRARY BOOK. Grrr. Don’t fold pages people! If you must, at least buy your own copy and keep it hidden! Also, side note, this book is way too good for them to have stopped that often (and precisely at chapters)... now I feel sad for them. Not. Font fold pages!
