Gave up. I had a good memory of her writing, but perhaps I was less tired then... good lord, you need stamina.

I'm really enjoying reading JK Rowling's other stories... so different, and yet she continues to be amazing at coming up with perfect characters. This book was slower than the first and third (which I'm reading now), but a really enjoyable read, and a good mind-bender. I've never really liked mysteries before this.

Leaving off at about a quarter through. This is a wonderful read, full of insights and "what ifs" about human nature, representing sentient beings as far more evolved than we are. But in these days of over-busyness and exhaustion, I need more plot to carry me through... abandoning ship.
