made the mistake of thinking about That Show for a sec and remembered the essay that Courtney Summers wrote on the power of the story, which moved me to tears when I read it around the time [redacted] was on its final season. I can't find the essay anymore because it's been taken down. yet my desire to read Courtney's writing & immerse myself in a mystery set in small-town America remains, so here I am

there are some clever ideas in here but if I'm being honest I expected a bit more from this collection. now I'm just racing to get to the end of it
