i have to say, im having fun. but i have a complaint.
every charicter is pretty much the same. the same level of rediculous banter and smart comebacks and level of sarcasm. i cant really tell anyone apart because they all talk the same. no ones personality stands out. they are all fun. but this is a complaint.

as soon as i started the audiobook, it felt like coming home.
that deep voice took me away to easier times. amazing weather, and simpler issues. i have read a lot of lit rpg in the last year, and nothing compares to this story. every other one fell apart after a wile. but this... this is a truly great story to step back into. i listen with great anticipation.

wow. i was impressed with the 3 difrent magic systems in the last series, but by mixing them, its made it new again for this current series. and how it took kingdoms and castles, and brought it to the 1900s, with guns, electric lights and trains. fantastic!

its been years since i read the old trilogy. i remember a wolf. i remember dragons. i dont much remember assassins... or him even doing much assassinating... but they keep talking about it. ...
though i must admit, robin hobb really knows how to hook you into a book. im so invested.

now that i know its not a mystery and just a romance book... every romantic encounter just makes my stomach turn... i dont even know how i ended up with this book... like i literally have no idea how i came into possession of this book.

i have come to the conclusion that this is not going to turn into an awesome mystery story. after the 5th graphic sex scene, and almost no real research done by this detective except how deep in her can i go, im getting disappointed. i kinda wanted this mystery to be solved. or at least try to be...

im not enthralled with this book. it feels like its not going anywhere. im fallowing a kid through training and school. but i dont care. just give me a montage or something.

the only problem with this book is that it is switching between 2 separate stories. 2 different perspectives. but its not telling you when that happens. so since im listening to it, it can just pick up the next sentence in a different part of the solar system. it takes me a paragraph or 2 before i figure it out. i only know because 1 story has 1 person, and the others has 5? so i just guess we switched.

this is a great book. this authors sense of humor for this character is excellent. hes not so much developing. just surviving. but he has such a good sense of humor in stressful situations.
most of the book is done in journal entries from this astronaut. one particular entry after everything blew up was just a string of curses. a later entry was "ok... i had my tantrum... how can we get out of this" i love it

picking a lock with bent paper clips behind your back. im sure thats a skill they just teach you in your rule strict academy school. even though it was ultimately pointless. didnt even need to be written.

i guess im the only one who disliked the first book, but stuck around to see where the second one went, only to be let down by it even more.
i admit the author has a decent story of why the world is the way it is. but she has no skill at human interaction at all. i really REALLY want to stop right now so i dont get this stupid cliff hanger. sigh.... i need to finish it so i can bitch about it in a review... fuck.

and they just WALKED out of the war front to a completely different STATE! .. WALKED! wile he carried her! u ever been so mad u want to puke? im getting there. and i cant understand the love that everyone has for this! i scroll through nothing but positive comments! im having issues with the human race. i dont want to live on this planet anymore

the more i get into this book, the more pissed i get. they are going to use the exact same plot device as before. my friend is sick. i need help. go to the next organisation to get help. they did it before, and now they are going to do it again. im so pissed with this book.

oh my god. she was so sick she needed to go to the hospital. then she ran under gunfire. ran for miles! then had a fight. then went and had fighting practice. and then now shes dethly ill, with a fevor, and cant stand, and now they are crawling into bed together to spoon. oh my god. this SHIT! NO! just NO! its just like stuff is happening cause author says so. its not believable. u dont forgive someone that fast! GRR

everyone betraid, our heroes have nowhere to go but BACK TO THE BASE OF WHO THEY BETRAID! AND ITS EMPTY!?! they have a huge fight, and then 10 min later they are having flirty fighting practice. i can only hit my head against the wall so many times.

ALSO, WTF! they say they gave the main charicter a metal leg! like did they cut it off and give him automail? or did they coat his leg in metal? or is it a robot leg? absolutely no information is given to it. its like "lets not wonder about this amazing technology. screw it. get up and go do stuff." and they dont talk about it ever again. the only mention of it in the book is "my leg feels strong" and thats it! WTF!?

this girl is so stupid. for someone whos suposed to be one of the smartest people out there, she is so short sighted. someone wispers 1 word into her ear, and shes ready to betray everyone, fuck up every plan, and throw the world into chaos because someone promissed her something.
im getting fed up with stupidity.

so she passes a lie detector test, even though she is pausing and taking deep breaths and waiting for her heart to cool down every time she lies. sure the machine might be fooled, but anyone can see when u start huffing before answering, something is up

its like this author has never been in a relationship, or even knows how they work. these characters feel so forced together with no buildup of emotion. and now there is a love triangle!?! wtf! "i love her and am blindly devoted to her. yet i only just met her. and the girl i have raised from a kid that i have not seen in 2 weeks is suddenly a woman and shes into me!" its so angering me how ham handed this is
