This isn’t bad, but it’s definitely meant for non-disabled allies. That isn’t a bad thing at all, just not what was expected.

The Five Nights at Freddy’s book trilogy did this same concept and somehow did it better I’m screaming

Wait. Does this house have no windows they can smash and crawl out of? I can suspend disbelief long enough to believe a robotics engineer and a computer software tycoon can’t debug a system, but I can’t believe that’s the only way to get out of the evil robot house.

This book is like one of those horror movies you find on Tubi when you’re looking for a totally different horror movie but this is all they have

Yeah, this is gonna suck. Annoying whiny protag with an unlikable cheating wife? The robot just up and says “I’m possessed!” and there’s nothing about how it came to be that way? Things happening with no connection or reason? Thank god it’s a short book.

So it turns out only the first story is about The King in Yellow and is anything approaching horror. All the rest of just mind-numbing boring short stories about rich aristocrats doing rich aristocrat stuff. Literally just story after story of word after word that adds up to nothing. I’m baffled.

Say it with me: Acting is not therapy and this book shouldn’t be treating it as such. Oh my god

Maybe the director wouldn’t be so frustrated if he hadn’t hired a high schooler with no professional experience whatsoever

Casting the high schooler in the off-Broadway plan eight days before opening.

What is going on

Considering casting a random high schooler in an off-Broadway play because the original actor, a bonafide celebrity, got kicked out is crazy work.

There had better be a discussion about this somewhere coming up because August does NOT deserve that opportunity, they have done literally nothing of note so far and have next to zero experience.

“It’s my first time singing my solo in front of everyone.”

At tech week!? This is *painful*

A two week rehearsal process for a full cast musical and they’re only using the stage for the first time for tech.

You ever read a book where it’s abundantly clear the author has no experience with the thing they’re talking about?

I think what I find so off-putting about this book is the massive amount of privilege at this school and how no one is acknowledging or pointing it out. McSmith is so quick to write these characters talking like a social justice textbook, but no one is talking about the nepotism and financial privilege allowing every person at this school to be there in the first place.
