The story starts out a bit slow and the characters were a bit whimsical in the beginning, but it has really picked up the pace and intrigued me! Since most series have a lot of background to unfold, this should have been something I understood from the beginning. Needless to say, the writing style has grown on me, and I am hooked for the rest of the book. Great read so far!
