I have come to realize that I listen to a lot of romance / thrillers not because I care about the books/authors, but just to have some audiobook going. As well as reading different genres, without buying more books.

this is just another romance contempt that I don't care about XD I don't like the format of miscommunication / dislike to like at work / insta love-lust. but alas!

genuinly wish we could be a bit more interesting with the dynamics and formula 😂 but I guess some people do like when a series follows the same concept with slight changes.

I have been reading this for a week, and the only thing keeping me going are the povs of Iris + Evangeline. Also, everything about Maven is very compelling. He has been my reason to keep going with this series, even when I worry about his end 😂

the fmc and her love story with her guy is just. annoying and repetitive. I am reading this for every other character but her lol

I have been listening to the audiobook for a few days and omg I love it. I decided against better judgement to read this for r/Fantasy bingo (almost...there...); I do kind of want to invest in the series, even tho I have heard that it becomes bad to worse with the sequels 😗

just for the mechanic/Ford scene, everyone has to read this. I was picking up food and fucking giggled in public, it was so funny 😭😭😭 "just call me Joe" I DIED.

murphys law, plot driven final boss and the most capable fmc in the histories all went out big for this one.

nothing about this is spellbinding. a jumbled mess with no heads or tails. the family dynamics of the "enemy" mmc are interesting.. but good god do somw characters repeat themselves a million times.

2x my hold on the library books lapses 🥲 3rd time will be a charm (when my hold returns to me).

gotta say, the writing is incredibly simple. I am tired of witch hunts and "magic is forbidden", but alas.
