Dracula is such a nerd.

This book is so deeply 2005, and I'm here for it.

Reading this book at 36 is a wildly different experience from reading it at 16.

I haven’t read this since high school. Let’s see how it holds up to my memory!

DNF at 25%. I tried, but this was not an enjoyable read for me.

I’m about halfway through the book, and so far, the most clever thing about it is that the main characters of a book about traversing a strange land are named Alice and Peter.

Maybe it’s just because my last read (The Buffalo Hunter Hunter) was so excellent as to render everything else lackluster in comparison, but I’m struggling to enjoy Katabasis.

Yes, I am spending the weekend comfort-reading a series I have read half a dozen times.
