I am trying so hard but I think my love of romance novels is waning. :(

I just can't get into them like I used to and I just find them to be so trite these days and that's not fair for me to continue reading when my heart is not in it.

I might just need a break from the romance genre and that's ok.

I have decided to do something I haven't done since I was a teenager and that is to re-read The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

This is a huge undertaking as each book in extensive and quite long. My goal is not to get through it by the end of this year but to take my time and enjoy it. I have already surpassed my goal of 50 books for the year and then again at 55 so I figure why not take on this challenge?

I AM SO CLOSE BUT SO BORED!

Yikes, this book was so strong until about the 65% mark and then it just got overdrawn and bogged down. I need to finish but man, I am losing interest fast.

Do I dare read this while we are on our camping trip in the middle of the woods?! I don't know, mass murders and camping do seem to go hand in hand in horror movies!

As a woman who is in a relationship with a younger man (*ahem* I'm all for it!) I still feel a little bit iffy about a 20 year ago gap.

I mean the man is 20 and a rockstar... neither of those things screams maturity to me. We shall see though.
