What I find so fascinating thus far about this historical fiction novel is how critical dialogue is placed in conversations between the many women over supper. It is so cool to read about a slice of life history of women in Washington DC in the 1950/1960s with the Red Scare.

It’s getting scarrrryyyyyyy…ahhhh!

I love the short, succinct, and powerful writing style to drop wisdom in one’s life.

God bless Eyram for giving me her copy of her book because otherwise I wouldn’t be able to wait!

Started this book and whew, the tension is PALPABLE, the stakes are HIGH, and our girl Violet is courageous even when she is scared

Just when I thought this book was good…it becomes AWESOME. The plot development is *chef’s kiss*, the mystery is held well, the emotions of betrayal and how it plays out WOW, I cannot spoil this book ahhhh

Okay…this book IS GOOD! Well written, conversations are meaningful and leave you with mystery, I love seeing how the human-dragon interaction plays out, ahhhh!

I am about a third of a way into the book and I have mixed feelings. The way the language speaks very about women, brown people, Turks, it’s jarring. But then reading a bit more into the history of the time period and author it gives context of that is how things were viewed at the time. But the way life is discussed, the way to live, now that seems interesting and beautiful…I will keep giving this book a chance

Whew this book is MUY CALIENTE! A perfect book for my vacation! I just LOVE the tension, romance, and more tension AHHHH!
