never before has a book made me feel this nauseated. what the actual fuck

this is the most outrageous and uncomfortable thing I’ve had to read, maybe ever. I feel like taking a shower by just being in the protagonist’s head

Something about the way Sabine keeps mentioning she’s a coward doesn’t sit well with me I’ve seen this far too many times and I am Scared

sometimes you have to process the pain of almost losing your galpal by railing the hot foreign ambassador (who also happens to be your other galpal) against the infirmary wall, and that’s perfectly okay

sabine please hit me up whenever you feel like it i will literally drop everything for you

words cannot convey the relief i’m feeling going into this knowing that i already have book 3 this time around

i love tourraine deeply because objectively she almost always picks the absolute worst decision to make on nearly every occasion this far, but she’s such a well written and emotionally driven character that it’s impossible to hate her for them

luca: hires touraine for an extremely dangerous job that could very much get her killed

luca, on day 1 of touraine doing said dangerous job: fretting like a mother hen because she’s slightly late to get back to her

when i say i’ve been looking forward to this reread since the start of the year I’m not exaggerating, my feral lesbians i have missed you <3

No hate to Elo but god Kissen’s/Inara’s chapters are such a joy to read I want to be with them forever

Kissen you absolute disaster I would die for you

Already love this book because not only is there more kissen, but she has a gay little crush too? i’m in heaven

My main gripe with this book was and continues to be Kissen chasing goals that she knows are impossible at the cost of ensuring the safety of her loved ones, which didn’t make sense for her character in my first read and still doesn’t now

Can’t remember the last time I read a fantasy book where everything wasn’t actively falling apart, so this is bound to be refreshing, if nothing else

this book reads a LOT better on a reread
