As a super squishy hearted animal lover, sections of this book were extremely difficult to read, but I’m so glad I persevered. The writing is brilliant and the important and real world political and conservation challenges in India (similar worldwide) are spot-on.

stopped reading. cheated and went to the end and just couldn't keep going after what I found out. too little free time to use on a book that will just make me sad.

Ugh!! This book is a slog. Finally getting interesting now ... about 1/2 way through. Nothing like G.S. Jennsen's books!
