hi sorry first off i find it hilarious that Lomeli was renamed (to fuckin Thomas Lawrence) in the movie and seemingly everyone else was spared the name changing. idk why they did it im sure there was a reason maybe just cause Ralph Fiennes does not look italian enough (?) but its still so funny to me. also this does feel like reading an advanced burn book of sorts omg

this sounds like a collection of sentences too profound for the material, even though one would think it fitting for subject matter. if you know what i mean. i think i'll give it until end of part 1 at most, but it's a bit boring

why is anastasia mad at nate (it's a forced enemies-to-lovers trope). ryan is gonna get jealous inevitably (they're hooking up but he's really sweet to her). why am i eevn reading this (i'm in south india at a resort and i found this book in the kids playroom for some ungodly reason)

also im still supremely mad at how she kept calling he coach variations of russian/commie just bc shes a skating coach. get a grip

incredible tale of vanity, hollow, bored anxiety, delusions of grandeur. so human and true. of those who live on earth i doubt many have not ever indulged in gossip, wishful thinking, limerence. it's the natural state, a result of curiosity, amplified in the case of 19th century aristocracy by boredom in the blood and air, stirred by metal taste of unease in government. incredible. comedic in tragic shakespearean way
