I really, really want to like this, and I want to like the author, who I share a name with, but Kai's writing is painful and boring. As usual with Kai, too much needless detail, and digression to mini biographies of other people. I personally have no patience for digression on the scale Kai employs.

So far I do not care for this book. Slow moving, bland, predictable, and way too many unnecessary details. This book is basically the definition of why I do not care for fiction. I doubt I will have the patience to plod through this mind-numbing, irritating disaster that offers absolutely nothing to justify the time spent reading it.
