It is gut wrenching but excellent read so far. I am annoyed that the negative reviews of more than 1 month ago remain on top of review list and the 5 stars of just a few days ago are further down the list. This seems manipulative by Goodreads site. Does a journalist who hates the book have first priority to get his word out? I hope people are not turned away because they don’t scroll down.

Linda is on page 20 of 318 of A Dance With Death: Soviet Airwomen in World War II

This book is referenced in the new historical novel by Kate Quinn called The Huntress. There are pictures and interviews with the actual Russian women fighter pilots the Soviet Union used in 1940...the only country to do so. Fascinating part of WWII history.
