Her writing in middle of this book has become super confusion. With so little description of the two characters, it’s nearly impossible to tell Cassian and Azriel apart at first.

Pretty good so far. Absolutely can’t stand Tamlin at the moment. He’s being such a whiny baby. Rhysand is my favorite character so far in this book. I used to love Lucien but he seems to have lost his backbone in this book. The ending paragraph of part 1 wasn’t nearly as shocking or hit as hard as I think they were expecting it to.

Still not finding a whole lot of reason to care about Feyre and Tamlin. However, I am very interested in Lucien’s jealousy of Tamlin over the revival of his lover. Ianthe is an interesting new addition to the character lineup. I’m interested to see if the couples will shift later on in the book/ series. Other than that, still just hoping for some conflict and action.

It’s okay… not really loving the whole “romantasy” genre. I think I would have at one point but now I want more fantasy, less romance. Still waiting for a bit more action. It seems like every time I start to get more excitement, it’s broken by Feyre’s slightly comical “character development” or by a romantic scene that doesn’t really do anything for me.

Chapter 19 was definitely not my cup of tea. A lot of filler and useless details that really don’t help motivate me to care about the characters.

The plot is starting to pick up and I’m actually starting to enjoy it. I like Feyre a lot more than Katniss Everdeen for sure.

The illusion to whatever this magical disease is is interesting. I’m definitely starting to see more parallels to Beauty and the Beast. I feel like it’s pretty obvious that Feyra was spared to be brought to Prythian to be Tamlin’s wife or something of that nature. If I had to guess it will parallel Beauty and the beast and she’ll be needed to “break the curse”.

The overall plot isn’t bad so far and I don’t dislike Feyra as a character. It’s just pretty standard for a fantasy plot and I’m not really seeing too much that sets it apart from the rest right now.

Good so far, the writing style kind of reminds me of the beginning of Red Queen.

Definitely ready for this book to take a darker turn and add a bit of suspense. I think after the general lighthearted nature of the first two books, I’m definitely craving a bit of mystery. I’m predicting that this book will be the last kid- oriented book in the series.

So far the writing style is much like the first two books in the series. Everything is very light with a straightforward plot line. I wonder when things will start to take a darker/more ominous turn in the series. If the books track like the movies, the general theme and mood of the books should shift after this one.
