Okay, it did make me shed a tear by this point. You do kinda feel for Hadrian, even if he is kind of a young hotheaded jerk at times

Love the character work, but there are times when I really wish Hadrian would stop waxing philosophic about human nature. It's kind of the point, and it's fantastic characterization, but it does grate since it kinda feels like it halts the story's momentum

Pretty decent start, fun setup so far and some great prose! Listening to the audiobook and Samuel Roukin does a great job with narration
