she's really delusional tbh?

this is entertaining but the mc is a tad annoying and a bit immature at times, to be someone almost in their 30s
preposterous that the mmc doesn't have any romance novels in his bookshop but it's his shop so. though the romance genre IS popular and it sells, and it's sad some consider it of less "value" compared to other genres

ah! now we know who wanted [redacted] dead. but I don't think [redacted] is gone, and we'll see them again soon
this volume is slow paced like twok but I am less confused than I was before so yay (even though there are still things I am confused about but hey the lore is deep)

I like Reid and Josie's dynamic bc he dislikes her 'i know everything' attitude and she's annoyed by his 'by the book' attitude

mercy is alive and can talk to ghosts and thus she is in a liminal space: here but also able to touch the otherworld. just as she considers kowloon her home but at the same time, she's an outsider, a common experience of refugees

kaladin was saved during a storm and dalinar has visions during a storm... There are more parallels as the lore is getting clearer after 1k pages that was book one. Everything Brandon wrote is to take at face value but it is so monumental that I often forget the details

anyways, the story seems interesting but there have been a few time jumps which have only told us of the unraveling of some questions instead of showing us how it happened. there are more issues but I will refrain for now
