So many elements of the story are lost to the movie but that makes the book something special. Saving the last 40 pages for tomorrow! Love Chuck, the strange powers, and the thoughts of the Gladers. Worth reading.

The book definitely has a different vibe than the movie. It seems more realistic and more conversations instead of quickly giving in to the demands of the protagonist. I'm enjoying the in depth details of the Glade! The Changing is scary though.

This was a previous DNF(even before I knew what one was. I've made it past where I left off and am enjoying the story, although tragic. Left it on a sad note.

So far it's an interesting sequel that could have adapted one day. At least we get to see a Vermicious Knid. I'm not disappointed! Haha

🤔 interesting developments. Good to see a fan favorite character came back for the finale!

O...M...G. I have loads of questions for this fun action filled finale.

The passive tension in the book is staying with me. Lots of little hints of storytelling coming from each character.

Great beginning and some backstory on Mrs. Jones.

In a chocolate mood with Easter. This is a reread but a great setup to the story moving towards the factory.

It's a fun but creepy tale. I remember watching the movie as a kid and being really scared of it.

These short stories as to the Alex Rider lore and I'm all about it. Does it have some action, yes, and does it give you little backstories, yes. Not too bad.

The first two short stories were fairly good. The writing works well with Alex's past and the secret missions are a good filler for his future endeavors.

Such a great story.

Finally got to meet John Rider and his personality is what I expected. Finally had some action and there was a great moment with a double shot that surprised and shocked me.

So this prequel is from an unlikeable(from Alex's series) from the series that shows his past and what trauma he has endured and of course you feel it throughout the story. Unsure how I feel at this time.

Man, Alex does not get a break. It's funny how this is titled the last book but it's not. It does feel like a homage to past novels.

So much context and Alex Rider hasn't shown yet.

Such good storytelling. On the edge of my seat.

I love the characters, the plot, the rivalries and how to get along with a team. Amari is growing up and learning to deal with it all.

My heart 💔. Two characters I liked, gone! I feel like this is a Shakespeare play but with birds and wolves. It is beautifully written and worth it so far.

What a captivating story. Finished Part One. What is going to happen?

Intriguing so far. Has a bit of Narnia/Alice in wonderland feel with a dash of natural beauty.

Cool to hear a new story with layers of Ahsoka's past sprinkled in.

What a cool series. Alex needs to use some self control though.
