Grrrrrr. Author is just not on my wavelength. I just feel like a I saw a lovely burger and bit into it and found it’s made of plastic.

No dialogue is organic.

It’s bizarre to think of aristocrats living in an inn on the docks with labourers.

The supposedly swoonworthy dialogues between hero and heroine are ultra boring.

Don’t know if I will finish this one.

Request to readers to check this book out. It’s set in the last century. Days when you made phone calls at public call booths and Internet was just a glimmer on the horizon for most people.

im finding it very tough going . Plodding through it. It makes no sense to me .. nothing about it is organic ... conversations are meaningless...the characters are very banal and crude. The emotions seem contrfived and fake ... very upset i got taken in by a recommendation here.

Feel like throwing in the towel and giving up writing altogether.

i feel disgusted with this man. He is crude and he is abusive ... i quite understand why his first wife left him.
