Fascinating

The writing is so breezy, just like Born a Crime. Pages are just turning themselves. And I love the fact that this is by another back of the pack runner- resonates so deeply.

I definitely felt this was a better book than #1 but I still feel that the book was a bit repetitive. I am yet to reach the end but nevertheless.

Ah well. Not going to be my top reads. I can tell that by how quickly I am reading it.

It is not bad. But having only read Murakami for Japanese literature, this is evidently not Murakami level translation. It is also not about a mysterious chef assassin. So there's that.

It is really a breezy and fast read cause this white woman totally has a God delusion of helping the poor black people. She tries to be sarcastic and laugh at herself but it comes across as arrogant and just culturally insensitive- even though she tries hard not to br. Also very naive.

A 24 yr old white boy gets a posh UN job. And he thinks he's the most idealistic of them all.

Kindle didn't keep my previous book mark so started afresh. Fairly easy language and quick read let's see how it develops later on...

If it feels too good to be true, it usually is.

Such a captivating and well written book, such an easy engrossing read, I'd have probably finished it in one sitting but I need to sleep for the day ;-)
