I'm terrified to start this but here we go

'"Black Magic" by Little Mix (2015)' being the chapter's title is hilarious

reading this book makes me want to go on long walk along the english countryside too

was very intimidated to read at first but i shall persevere (reading along with the audiobook)

finally reading this because I've been dying to watch the japanese movie :] this book kind of reminds me of unmet just different settings

very much a slice of life. it feels like I'm catching up with a friend

getting thru my mieko kawakami books 🤞

legit was never expecting this [part of the book] detail but omg men are so full of themselves

thought dumping, but why is part 2 quite literally twice as long as the first part. also I wish there were more of midoriko's journal entries because I honestly enjoyed reading them [breasts (part 1) & eggs (part 2)]

this book opened up a new light to me about womanhood (breast implants, sperm banks, etc) that I don't usually think about. kawakami brings details about the female experience, difficulties, and joys so well that it just continuously makes you curious and empathize about how women suffers but also perseveres in society's expectations. (One thing that I don't like is that every chapter is sooo long)
