I don't know why I have a connection to Harry but perhaps it's his loneliness and that he wants everyone to count... including himself. I can relate with that. He had a mission and without it, he had no purpose. I wish I could say that I have a purpose that brought me joy. I do not know if he gets a joy or a sense of relief in solving the crimes. But he keeps going and even in pain.

So far like the off and on switch between Bosch and Haller in the book. But Harry is suspicious like. Different.

I read this one fast. Very compelling. Very plot twisty. In one chapter the author switched to the way he normally writes and not having Harry say I ad if he was talking about himself. Not sure what the switch was for. This is the first time I have read a book that probably should have reflected by the author it was being told by Harry.

Interesting read.

I just got into 1/3 of book. I couldn't finish...had to keep going back to refresh memory of characters.
Surprise me to see Deborah put herself in compromised situations.

This started out wow. Then it was overwhelming. Chapters are too long. Too much to read in one sitting. I admire her tenacity, but it sometimes reads like a thesis.
