My big takeaway so far is that the show really needed more food. It's no Redwall (nothing is as far as food goes), but you can tell this is an author who loves a good meal, and I always vibe with that.

I think this is attempt number 3? We're trying audiobooks this go-around. Hopefully life won't get in the way like attempts 1 and 2.

I was legitimately excited to read this collection (Queer feminist horror? Sign me up!), but so far, it's not hitting the mark for me. It's sending me back to an undergrad creative writing workshop with that one student who centers every story around explicit sex because she thinks that's the only way to prove her work is literary/queer/feminist. Your mileage may vary - there's some lovely prose!

This one's full of trigger warnings (the chapter on the electricity wars was a tough read for this soft-hearted animal-lover), but it's well-written and fascinating. Only a couple of quibbles so far.
