kinda hard to believe they let me read this in 8th grade for my summer reading project. this shit is so demoralizing, and on some level i was just like those kids in Juniors. I understood what was happening in a slightly removed way, like a dream, and reading this back as an adult I’m full of this sense of impending dread that gets heavier and heavier with each page.

I think this is one of those rare instances where the movie does it better than the book.

The cylinder catching scene is much funnier and better executed in the movie imo

i got this book from one of those mystery book packages from my local indie bookstore so i’m excited to see where it takes me!

this book is NOT as good as i remember. the pacing is weird and Feyre’s characterization is super flat.
