The concept of gods and war is very interesting. The story weaves the concepts together well. The writing is interesting and easy to follow. I appreciate the slow development of Rin as a character. Though at times frustrating (she processes everything as it happens and has shown no evidence of deeper emotions or thought), she is a child experiencing war for the first time and completely out of her depth.
