I’m loving how much Lord John story I’m getting in this one!! I’m also really enjoying how the story is moving and bouncing around between all the different characters. The pacing is really good so far too. I feel like especially in this one, Gabaldon has done a fantastic job of knowing exactly when to linger on a character for multiple chapters and exactly when to rotate between them to keep you engaged.

Still really enjoying this read. I like Henry, Martha and Opaline and I'm invested in their stories. Sidenote- the blocking of the number had me screaming internally
