Eric is reading Skepticism and Naturalism: Some Varieties (Woodbridge Lectures)
My feelings on this book are mixed. While the presentation of the problem is done well (sceptical or reductionist considerations seem compelling. However, this flies in the face of our practice), Strawson's relativising move strikes me as uncompelling. A lot more needs to be said about what these two "standpoints" are and a fictionalism should be considered where reduction is correct, but practice is endorsed.

Skepticism and Naturalism: Some Varieties (Woodbridge Lectures)

Eric is finished with CRITIQUE OF PURE REASON ; TRANSLATED BY NORMAN KEMP SMITH
This is the start of a long term project to read Kant's Critique of Pure Reason. This is motivated by a few things. I'm interested in scepticism, it's various guises, and the different approaches to solutions (should it turn out that a solution to scepticism js necessary). I'm also interested in understanding Continental Philosophy a little better and the advice I've received is that this is the place to start.
