I’m really enjoying this read, but nonfiction always takes me longer to get through.

The endings to these short stories have been somewhat abrupt…

This is a fun book — still my favorite in the series so far!

My favorite part of this one is the narration (by Tom Hiddleston), but the story is of above average interest for me with this series. Perhaps part of it is also the knowledge that it’s the last one in the series [not counting all the spinoffs by other authors].

I listened to the first book in this series to bridge the gap to my next library hold. While I wouldn’t call it a favorite of mine, it was amusing and entertaining enough to encourage me to check out the sequel.

Why is this so interesting?

It’s fun that this one is narrated by Kenneth Branagh!

The impression of the main Japanese man in this book is… well, yikes.

It’s wild how much of a difference the narrator can make in an audiobook. The first Poirot mystery was so good… better (so far) than book two, yet I’m enjoying this one so much more due to the increased quality of this audiobook. This is a fun series!

Listening to this audiobook, narrated by David Tennant, is so cool — I totally envision him as the Doctor, reading aloud in the Tardis, which makes it even better.

Fleming likes to really pack the big action into the final half (sometimes the final third) of his books…

After the last book in the series, it’s nice to have the usual style of narration back! So far this story seems like it may be one of the better ones, but that remains to be seen…

Halfway through and still no mention of James Bond… interesting for a Bond book. I’ve yet to see the point of its inclusion in the series.

We switched to the audiobook for our drives out of town and back this past week… and that made for a lot of progress! We’re switching back to print now, and excited for what’s about to happen!

I’m still enjoying this more than the original trilogy — and that’s saying something, because those were also quite good. Surprisingly so for YA!

This is very different from the other books in the 007 series in that the narrator is a woman, and a quarter into it there’s still no mention of James Bond.
