Two characters in love but neither knowing how to express it to the other. One feeling broken beyond repair and the other searching for a way to make it better.

And there’s an assassination attempt afoot.

I miss these characters.

Started slow. Took about 80 pages to really pick up the story. Still building and foreshadowing larger events but the plot is thickening to a point where reading is becoming more interesting.

Story finally broke into MM spicy. Still intrigued that both characters seem to be bi. Nothing wrong with it just not the norm for the genre.

Storyline has picked up. Foreshadowing has been used extensively but vaguely enough has to only give hints to events not to distant in the future except for the main character and their mystery prophesy.

Added some new characters. Interested to see how the 3 story lines intersect.

Slow starting. Interested to see where it is heading.

Same slow burn start but interesting character shift. Enjoying the continuation of the author’s use of non-traditional gay characters.

Enjoying the change of pace with this book. The 🌶️ in the book is refreshing because it’s not the standard take and it shows other type of intimacy.
