The smut’s kind of getting old at this point and I would have preferred more action against the rival pirate crew rather than sitting in Nathaniel’s spectator POV

I don’t remember this book being advertised as a post-apocalyptic sci fi fantasy based in our world, and in the case of what I was expecting this book to be that is not a good thing.

Sooo…. I think I liked Orpheus and Fenris better before they started being all couple-y. They had more chemistry together when they were making jabs, all these cutesy moments of them touching and sharing a plate of food and stuff isn’t really doing much for me.

Third time the author’s used the line “He released a breath he hadn’t intended to hold” and all I can hear is a variation of “I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding” and I hate it.

So turns out the page numbers are a complete mess and none of them are actually the right page, and it keeps repeating 241-254. At least the story is unaffected by the page numbers but this is actually a huge editing miss.

Well I found out that pages 87-102 are misprinted as 241-256 so the book is losing half a star for lack of proper editing.
