Okay, so I cried. What a romantic proposal.

Finally, I feel like the edging is near completion. I am also so emotional while reading this book. My heart breaks for Harriet and I know it’s only going to get worse from here.

The book has gotten better. Oh boy does the author know how to edge. I can feel the palpable tension between Harriet and Wyn. I am also desperately hoping Wyn is not in a new relationship. The power the coffee table book has to trigger jealously in Harriet is incredible.

Started reading on the plane on my way to Denver. Interesting book. I like how the main character is a doctor. That gives the book an element of something I can relate to. It also feels frailer to a Hallmark movie, abut I will hold my judgments until I finish the book.

A lot has happened since my last check-in. I have seen Rocky and Ryland’s relationship develop, and it is beautiful how the author has written these characters to care for each other. I also finally have answers to how Ryland ended up on this ship when there were already two scientists selected for this mission. Not disappointed with this book for far.

Wow! A lot has happened. Ryland has made contact with another species, and alien species. The first human to make this contact. He found an ingenious way to communicate with "rocky" the aforementioned alien, with musical notes. They also discovered they have a shared experience; they both are alone after their entire crew died.

I have leaned so much more about our compassionate science teacher astronaut since my last check in. He has discovered he is on a suicide mission to save the human race.

Really good book so far. This book is giving me similar vibes to Darkness Between us book I read last year. Man lost in space, alone, only has a computer to chat with as his companion.

This is definitely an opposites attract kind of book

How am I two chapters in and crying about Alex’s dead cat. Oh no….

Loved the prologue. Alex and Poppy are cute together. Then I get a taste for how the book is going to go by finding out at the end of chapter 1 that Poppy hasn’t spoken to Alex in two years! Now I need to know what happens next.

Well, I hit the climax of the book. Shane came out to his parents, and it was filled with feelings.

Love a good beach scene… not really.

I have gotten to the point of the prologue. It is clear that Ilya has started to develop feelings for Shane, and Shane doesn’t know how to process this because he feels the same. Two Words, Tuna Melt.

So now I have gotten to the point where Shane and Ilya have finally hooked up (just oral stuff mainly). Still a very steamy book. It is interesting b/c there are still a lot of themes of self-discovery, but the characters are able to come to their conclusions very quickly. I am impressed to the accuracy the author is able to depict gay scenes as well, being a female author.

We saw how the main characters were introduced and the tension is palpable. You can tell they are already intensely attracted to each other, even by the way that Ilya noticed the freckles on Shane’s face.

Wow! Just finished the prologue and damn! This book started off with a bang…. Literally. Already I get a sense for the rivalry (title of book) fueled by romance and attraction.

Just finished the into. Now I’m staring on the first chapter. I am hoping to take away something for personal growth from this book. Fingers crossed.

What a great book. The ending had me in my feelings. I ached for Achilles and Potrocolas to be buried together at last.

Well, I am starting to get to the point of the book where the climax is approach. Didn’t think it would be so late in the book, but there is very obvious foreshadowing of death.

Still trying to figure out if this book is only about Sex with a hint of COVID.

Grief is a strange thing. As I continue to read through this book, I think more and more about how I’ve handled grief in my own life. It makes me wonder how I learn to like all of my loved ones. I can tell Sam is in pain he’s ready to move on, but Julie is not ready to let go yet.

Oliver is back, and he is finally showing some of his true colors. I already know he is gay because of the upcoming book, but it is very obvious he is in some crisis. :(

Still good. Learning more about Julie’s relationship with Mika. I am worried that I am picking up on foreshadowing and Julie might try and hurt herself.
