FINISHED Augustine’s City of God finally!

Just finished book 18, the longest book in Augustine's 'City of God'. That wraps up tracing the heavenly city and the earthly city through their course through history, and now the final 4 books (19-22) will address their end.

Now up to the great schism of 1054 and the development of the ‘Rus’ and ‘Slavs’. Did you know that Russia was formed by marauding Vikings? I didn’t!

Up to p155 of 909 in this huge book. The author is clearly very learned and her book is meticulously researched. Now up to when Byzantium became ‘Constantinoupolis’.
