A page turner!

Will this book never end???

I get impatient when the storyline bounces back and forth in time. I know Morton does this to build suspense but she needs a better editor. It’s frustratingly too long.

Rather dull so far. Not many characters but confusing nonetheless. Moves around in time. Should be better than it is so far.

Disappointing

Slogging through. Not nearly as good as previous books.

Finding this delicious so far!

I may come back.

When does this get better? So far, it's a snooze with too many characters being introduced. Very depressing, too.

Hi hum so far

A bit long and drawn out. Could have used some editing. Nonetheless, interesting issues raised and characters intertwined.

I am loving this so far!! The characters are interesting and the writing spectacular.

The beginning drags a whole lot and I’m hoping it will improve. I’d hate not to finish this series which I’ve loved from #1.

I am finding this a bit slower than previous Maggie books. The ponderous day-to-day police procedural is probably more realistic, but I keep wanting the action to speed up. Hope it does!

I keep plodding along but really wish things would speed up. Told thru 3 points of view, I’m finding this tedious.

A lot of characters, and readers are supposed to remember all their names and back stories. This book is easy to set aside right now.

Very slow start but it does improve

Slow going. And I can’t seem to care about these women.

Not sure I will finish. Will give it another chapter or two, but the writing seems very awkward. I was looking for a light read, but this seems too ponderous.

Not up to par so far. I miss Little Lloyd, Hazel Marie, and all.

Yes, it's very long, but it is engaging. First book I've read with so much social media embedded - fascinating technique. I don't care about the "romance," which some folks see as frustrating. But I wish there were a list of characters with some descriptors so that I could keep them all straight.

What a page-turner! Even when I wasn't reading, I found myself thinking about it. And isn't that what a good book does?!?

Absolutely loving this! Witty, wise, interesting. A real page turner.

I don't know if I will finish this as it is too full of cliches - scene shifting from character to character, people new to town encountering others who are lonely, blah blah. I would love to find a book with a fresh plot line!
