This is shaping up to be a favorite of mine.
It's also so weird... it has layers of weirdness. There are moments when you literally don't know what the fuck are you reading... but it's written so skillfully you just don't care.

This guy may contend for the best prose I have ever read, or at least will be up there with giants like Peake, Tad, GGK and Wolfe. It's heavy and sloggish as fuck, but damn it, it's so exhilarating.

The plot is on all sort of drugs and hallucinogens. Which is amazing. Weird fiction has entered my radar like a flaming asteroid.

Aristotle decided to spent half of his book defining what the thing this book is about isn't and is universally, before beginning to analyze the particular stuff about said thing that the whole book is actually for. What a madlad.

There's something about this incredibly boring prose that makes me loathe the book for no reason. K seriously can't stand the prose. Seriously.

Uh... this is a weird book. It's quite strange, because I don't really find it... funny? Pratchett, my man, what is this?

Tge book unironically began in fantasy Persia. I already love it. The prose is even better. What a writer I stumbled upon!

Back of the cover implicitly stating "one of the most unusual SF series" didn't exactly warn me about it being an absolute narcotic boogaloo with hallucinations included. I'm officially a David Brin fan!

The core idea of the book is fascinating as well, though the execution needs a lot of work. I'll be way too lazy to write a review in the future, so this would most likely be it. TALKING DOLPHINS! HOW COOL IS THAT!?

This is so far ICE's best and worst novel. It's a really mixed bag, though I hope he would be able to wrap all of the story lines at least functionally.
