to his unending imprisoned on the estate (500yrs in the show, 20 yrs in this book), to the fact the baddies want him to have kids with someone from the group of women to then get rid of him, to the pet that saves her from her condition (poison in the show/painful headaches and blackouts in the book, to him feeding her his blood to heal her.
Too many coincidences for it not to be HEAVILY "inspired" by that show

It's one heck of a coincidence, but up until now, this plot follows pretty much the same storyline as the Chinese show 'When Destiny Brings the Demon' except the transmigration to another world. From the unknowing woman selected for a group sent to a mysterious palace/estate, to the group of women wanting to seduce/kill the main character with magical blood, to his pet (snake in the show/panther in the book), to...

Sooooo...so far this is reminding me waayyy too much of a Chinese show that came out August of last year called 'When Destiny Brings the Demon'. Even the first meeting happened pretty much EXACTLY like in the show.

I'm having a hard time with this one. What started off as great has tempered out. I'm not feeling the chemistry between the characters, and for a supposedly smart, analytical woman, Gia is making quite a few ridiculous choices. She just mentioned she was falling for him, and I honestly don't understand how.
