Mostly enjoying this so far, just a little irritated at some of the research booboos, like citing fossils from Pompeii for a dna source. NO fossils were at Pompeii. I know, I'm being picky, but when you love science, you love it, okay?

This one's a slog for me. If I hadn't bought it on libro. FM, I'd probably not plan to finish.

Very slowly paced with lots of exposition. Seems to be picking up a little bit right about now. Having to kind of force myself to keep going. I'm not enjoying the switch between points of view, they seem murky.

This is a beautifully written book. Definitely all literary. And very much caring about the characters, just wishing it would move along a little faster. Definitely going to keep reading though

Might have to give up on this one. The topic should be right up my alley, but the writing is stodgy and pedantic. Love the concept though!
