I seldom read modern romance but am really enjoying this one.

Wow this is a bit slow going. I wonder if I can count this one towards ambitious as the heroine main goal in the book is to have this party. Every page is about this party. I wish I could say this is enough to keep me interested. IT IS NOT

Listening to the Audiobook. Early days so......

I picked this book because it was a free book offered on Amazon a couple of years ago. I enjoy reading books on military, but this one has more of an overarching as the Title says "Deep State" than I am used to. Good writing but so far no one that I can root for. I can say it is holding my attention.

I am loving this book. The Duke is I don't know how to describe him. My only wish is that the author would have edited down the number of pages. Yes they are good but make it too long.

An old nemesis has returned!

As and American I have long wanted to learn more about WWI up to WWII in Europe and Germany. What a better way to learn than to read a mystery set as the first war ends. Looking at things through a German soldiers' eyes is strange but authentic feeling.

The Cinderella plot of the ball is just being laid out. My favorite is the description of our heroine as a blond with the audiobook cover of a brunette.

A bit of a Cinderella storyline

Action packed with snarky fun dialogue and a hero dog. What more is there to life....lol

I like this. Usually we don't find out this stuff till late in the book

Fast moving with a lot of action. I am enjoying it.

Off to an excellent start for the reading of the will and the bequest to both Spencer and Reid. The romance progresses. I am at the 30% mark before the next event occurs and am finding a bit slow moving.

There are several things that are strange about this book. 1. I thought I was reading James Patterson (book 1 of 35 Alex Cross) 2. This is NOT it. This is a futuristic book with a robot. 3. The hero just delt out justice by shooting a man. 4. I question if this was written by a Christian minister.
BUT Hey I am just going with it.

I do enjoy a surprising opening to a book.

Another murder, I am wrong to want more crazy exfiancé.

OK this was the crazy that I signed up for!

I had expected more. I want a hissy fit from the former fiancé' written. Some cutting or witty words. I think I have left over grinch from Dec.

I have skipped book 2. Yes I stared at the first page for a week and made it to page 2. BUT I don't like archology so why I am going to read a book on it. Well skipped it and now on book 3

On the fence on this one. I am listening to the audiobook from Hoopla. Good but VERY slow moving and little explanation of the characters background.

Authors with all the names in the world to pick from and alternating between characters did you have to PICK Liam and Leah??????

Ok this book is staying really good! Having fun reading it

New author to me and the book started out a bit ho hum. THEN it picked up and now I am totally invested in it!

The story and plot are good. Not as much action so I reading as I have free time.

I am fascinated by Neapolitan but never had an interest in the revolution that brought about his rise to power. It has always seemed to me that that it was something that did deserve to be called the reign of terror. This book is during that period of time.

I was wondering how the author was going to move the story forward and I am liking this idea.

Enjoying the writing and the plot. A suspension of disbelief is required but that is true for so many hr.

Ok loving this so far. I know it is only 5% but it has grabbed my attention!

Great writing as always but not a fan of historical seafaring mystery.
