Finished ch5. I bet the random bits of wax Ann found on a table was from someone doing Carromancy, divination by wax dripping. I’ve studied it and the other methods they’ve mentioned so far.

The writing is dry af, the thirsty protagonist needs to calm her tits, and media about NYC needs to stop giving endless details about stuff like buildings and the commute as if igaf.

Got halfway through the book last night. It's kinda slow, and I'm really not sure what it's all building up to since this will obviously part of a march larger series, but it's a good read. Kaladin's chapters are my favorite so far.

Wow, I should've updated this last month! Been so obsessed with Animal Crossing: New Leaf since it came out, I haven't read anything XD Will pick this back up later...

Took a break from this back in August when a bunch of video games came out, then got sidetracked with other books to catch up on. Been reading it again the last couple days while waiting for my signed copy of The Rithmatist to arrive. Figures the pace finally picks up shortly after where I left off! Rooting for Perrin, of course.

Frustrated. The only book to really hook me this year is Cloud Atlas. I instantly fell in love with Jane Eyre -- it's the best book I read last year and got me into Goth/rom lit when Wuthering Heights couldn't. Expecting this book to do the same is probably asking too much but there are so many Austenites out there, what am I missing? It's so pretentious and boring so far. One review says to try until page 100.

Goodreads won't let me put 2013 as a date yet and half the world is already starting the new year :P They should probably run on UTC time instead of some U.S. time zone. (edit: UTC, not GMT)

Dang, I got none of the riddles right! I would've been eated by Gollum if I didn't have a weapon ._.

Since I saw the LOTR trilogy, I know at least that bit of Gollum's back-story. But I like how Tolkien hinted at his origins, e.g. "holes" -- that one word gives it away with all the previous talk of "Hobbit-holes."

The writing needs more imagery but I just imagine the actors and scenery of the LOTR movies.

I'm going to be realistic about this -- the release of New Super Mario Bros. 2, Darksiders 2, and Guild Wars 2 means I'll be reading a lot less for a while ;P Wish the book wasn't so slow though; it takes like 200 pages for people to start to decide where to go by page 300 they are just starting to get on with it.

Woah, Lan and Nynaeve! Now we're getting somewhere; everyone's splitting up into different groups. I like seeing how different characters react and grow with each other. I may not read as much the next couple days thoug now that New Super Mario Bros. 2 just came out XD
