So far I do not get the hype

Very excited to be experiencing the magic again :)

In a reading rut and need a pick-me-up :)

So far the author has managed to use the word “OK” approx 30 times.

I was promised a Hating Game where they actually hate each other…so far this is not that.

I maay have bought copies of all the old 90s editions of this and the Wild Magic series (for very important scholarly reasons)—so here we goooo 👹👹👹

How am I only halfway?! I feel like I’ve been reading this book for 100 yrs

So many names, so many plots 😵‍💫

Hurt my eyeball and this audiobook was free on KU so here we go I guess

I read only new books ALL January, so I think I deserve this little treat 🌝 (thank you, Hannah, for the inspiration!)

This may end up being a DNF for me. I don’t know why I thought a retelling of the Iliad from Briseis’ perspective would make for a light, non-traumatic read, but it’s safe to say that it doesn’t!!

This book is never ending

This one might end up being a DNF for me…
I’ve learned that Daria LOVES to share unnecessary details about her characters’ careers and while I didn’t mind it so much in Hola where her MCs were famous TV stars, I find that I do really mind it in this book where the MCs are a gym owner and a graphic designer.

This is…fine, but I’m really hoping it picks up soon. I’m having a hard time dealing with the overly flowery language and romanticized descriptions of New York City (and New York hipsters). And we’ve only JUST gotten to the start of the “action” a third of the way in!

Was enjoying this on and off—it’s really a very sweet story. But now the main action of the book feels over, and it’s really starting to drag! Taking a bit of a break.
