Joshua was a book about courage in the face of adversity and trusting God to have your back. Joshua and the Israelites he led showed a lot of faith and courage, and they were rewarded for it. In Judges, the Israelites are about to experience the pain of disobedience.

End of Deuteronomy. It’s kind of an emotional farewell to Moses. He and the children of Israel have been through a lot together. He led them out of bondage in Egypt, through the wilderness, into the promised land. There were ups, downs, rebellions, arguing wars. And now it’s time for him to watch them cross Jordan without him.

I’m dropping everything else for this one. I’ve had it on hold so long that I forgot about it. And the first 20 pages are absolutely thrilling.
