In my own writing, I’ve noticed how often I describe the lighting. It’s forever changing shape and color, which makes them reliable subjects, but I worry they are too boring to write so much about. Reading Woolf’s constant descriptions of light and color really help me understand that they are a good muse.

I’m listening to the audiobook and the narrator’s impression of Richards sounds exactly like that one Yorkshire girl that impersonates Draco Malfoy, and I laugh every time he has dialogue
