"He's not a danger to me, he's my mate" sounds a lot like the fae equivalent of "my boyfriend won't actually hurt me, he loves me" after he abuses her

Saying you want something when magically forced to seems a bit wrong. Like "hey do you love me?" "Yes because I'm being forced to".
Also, if you're actually important to your people as a leader then to hell with your selfish fated mate. The needs of the many come before your need to have sex with one woman.

Sigh.....yet another incident of insta jealousy despite never actually touching his mate. Seriously, uncontrollable and violent levels of jealousy over a mate you haven't even kissed yet? Yeah major red flag. Also, getting angry because your partner feels attracted to another person? Also major red flag. It's natural dumbass. Here's another problem I have with Fated Mates. When they're magically induced to find every thing about their mate as attractive it makes compliments pointless. Like "Oh wow they're so hot". Yeah well you're magically forced to feel that way aren't you? So like do you actually think they're attractive or do you have magical Stockholm syndrome? Remember in this world, fated mates cause unwanted, uncontrolled boners

Ah yes....thinking about your fated mate gives you an instant boner...that's definitely not stupid at all. Also hypothetical question. If you're straight male but your fated mate is male, do you still get instant boner when you think about him?

The characters are alright but the whole fated mates thing is annoying me. One because it objectifies the characters. Oh she's not a person with her own feelings she's my mate. Two because the jealousy trope....like if you're fated to be with her who cares if she talks, hugs or even has sex with other people? Lol also the jealousy only extends to other men, guess she can have sex with women without jealousy?

Ah yes the classic trope of "let's literally risk people's lives because we're too horny to control ourselves". Yes, the obvious response to hiding in a closet together while guards are outside is to combine sex with the quiet game. The chance of getting caught and people killed makes it so much hotter. *sarcasm followed by an annoyed sigh*

Raven may be dumb but I do really love her compassion and honor even towards her enemies. She really does care about people

"Little Bird" is such a cringe pet name. It's not clever or cute. In fact it sounds kind of demeaning. Like the british slang "bird" which often sounds patronizing or sexist. He's basically calling her "little girl".

Also, every time the MMC does something nice, the FMC says "why are you being nice to me?"
Oh i dunno....maybe because he likes you dumbass?

Ahhhhh the classic stupid plot device of using emotion instead of logic and letting the dangerous murderer live which backfires of course. Seriously, why are we trying to make the person responsible for all the pain and problems "comfortable"? Why is that a priority over protecting the seeds and other people?
