Who is this character who is named Anne- surely it can’t be the same lovely red-headed sprite whom I loved. It has to be a character with the same name because there is no way my beloved Anne would ever say that soft-soap monologue.

John Meredith is the absolute worst human…am I supposed to be rooting for him??? How do you FORGET someone entirely but try to pass it off as absentmindedness- no you are rude. Ughhhh this book is spoiling my love for Anne

I currently am flabbergasted at this book even being THOUGHT of as part of my lovely Anne series.
Where is Anne? Where is Gilbert? Why is she shoved off to the side and her ENTIRE character is changed? 🫠🫠🫠 this feels more like “story girl adjacent” not Anne. Boo. I’m not happy about this at all.

I know this is ya- but with the amount of times this girl has said “I’m 16, practically an adult” is making my head hurt. (We’re on #9 of that saying if you’re curious.)
Also…the two guys she is crushing on are older then 18- one is at least 20 and the other is like 18, and lest we forget, she’s 16…..which is severely giving me the ick
