So a fun read! I know it’s a series, I have to read the description of the next book to decide if I’m going to continue, but definitely no more after that from this author, just not for me! I wanted the book to lead to something more and I wanted several of those characters to get what they deserved in the end because the cast was phenomenal! I loved these people! Shame some of them just got the short end.

Yup….. that surely was a book I read there 😂 it’s odd to say I’m disappointed by this book and then still going to give it 4 stars lmao, because it wasn’t a bad book! I just…. I’m disappointed by the end for one thing. Like I get it, but what was the point of having this whole mysterious prologue just to get to the end and it doesn’t really happen? Like it wasn’t a lie, just misleading….. idk…

This is another one of those books where it’s good….. but omg why won’t it end??? I thought I was really going to like this author, I don’t and that’s fine, but I reaaaaally want to finish this book and it’s just going on and on and on lmao. It’s not even that’s it’s boring, it’s just that it’s one of those books where I miss 1 line and I have to rewind…. Guess who keeps rewinding 🥲

Now that I’m almost halfway through, I should probably update 🫣 first off, why am I enjoying this even more than Twilight??? Like is homegirl moping around, depressed as fuck at 18 talking about she lived the best part of her life? Yes….. 😳 but it’s entertaining! Lmaooooo. I don’t know what it is, but I am eating this book up! Wanted to finish before the New Year, likely won’t happen, but all good!

And we’re back baby! I decided to restart because apparently I was 30% in but then when trying to recount what happened, I could tell my mom like 2 things about the book 😂 but so far I’m really enjoying it again! Now that I rested my confused and tired little mind, I’m excited to see where it’s going :)

I’m starting to get the feeling this author isn’t for me. At least most of their books, I’m still planning to go back and read Beartown. Nothing wrong with the writing, I just have a hard time with starting to attach to characters, decide someone is my favorite, they die, and now I’m supposed to still read the rest of the book? 😂 anyways, going to DNF this book and other than Beartown probably be done :)

I really enjoyed this book! It was sad, but a really great read!Jennette wrote it really well and her story was sad to read, but it was so triumphant to see her finally turn it around in the end and decide that she deserves better. The eating disorder part…… parts of it were some needed messages for me and it’s funny how sometimes books find you right when you need them somehow someway ❤️ 4 brilliant stars

Honestly, this book was so boring. I had to pause several times and ask myself why I was trying to finish it! the last few chapters finally got good, but honestly the rest of the book was just boring. 3.5 stars feels right. I will try to continue on with the series, but if New Moon sucks….. we might just have to give up on Twilight lmao. I’ll always love the movies, but the books are a different breed 😂

Well it’s going well! 😂 definitely the furthest I’ve made it and being this far in I can see why I never got into it in the past. It’s not the most interesting book, at least not yet, but I do enjoy Bella and Edward talking and being so curious about one another. It’s cute them getting to know each other in their own little worlds. And also not me not noticing Jacob wasn’t in the first 100 pages lmao.

Looking at my reading history with this book shows my relationship with trying to read it has been complicated 😂 I first tried reading this book back when I was idk maybe 10, and got like 70 pages in which is the furthest I’ve ever read, and I’ve tried like 2 other times 😂 so this is twilights last chance. I love the movies but if I don’t make it through this time, we’re done with the books lmao

Really enjoying listening to this book! I enjoyed her character in Icarly and remember after the show ended hearing all these things about how she hated acting and her mom and you know, curiosity killed the cat, and satisfaction sure is bringing it back 😂 it’s sad, her story, but I’m definitely enjoying learning more and I just love hearing people talk about their lives, so it’s fun :)

Finishing this book has gotten me back in the mood for reading and thank goodness because we’re having our best reading year and I want to see how far we can take it! So loooooved rereading this book and honestly will probably have to reread more of Penelope Douglas books because I just adore them! Such fun books that always have me gripped! Okay, until our next read :)

Felt pulled to reread this book and listened to the audiobook this time! Had such a good time rereading! I really do love this family, and might have to reread Tryst Six Venom again next! Macon…… he’s everything and honestly I love the way he carries himself. He has this quiet strength and sureness and even when he was mentally falling apart, everyone still looked up to him and saw him as their strong leader

Finally, finally! I have FINALLY finished this book! I enjoyed it, do not get me wrong 😂 I just haven’t been reading so this book just wouldn’t let go and was literally due back tomorrow. I loved the connections in this book! Loved Charlie and Nora, but also reeeeeeaaaaallly loved the relationship between her and her sister! Absolutely made the book for me! So 4.5, almost a 5 star, just missing something!

I’ve been struggling to get through this book due to no time 🥲 but god when I do get to read this book, it feels so special. I loooooove this book. I love the relationship between Charlie and Nora and how much time we’ve spent with the two of them just getting to know each other. I don’t know….. it’s felt the right kind of slow and soooo special 😂 I don’t know, a little in love lol

I change my mind, I don’t get it. I do! Don’t get me wrong, I just don’t get it….. was it intentionally misleading or poorly executed? I just can’t tell. It didn’t click for me all the way and that’s okay! I’m happy to have read it and you know, it’s certainly a different concept than some of the recent books I’ve read that mess with time/timelines, I’ll give it that! Cheers, anyways! 😂

I am enjoying it as it ends. Now that it’s all starting to come together, I’m like ‘ahhh, all makes sense!’ Anyways, I wanted a little more out of it, I think maybe a little more focus on the relationship with David, although I guess you could argue is the biggest indicator that she didn’t love him enough, but I don’t know, I just feel it doesn’t work for the reader, or least me lmao, to feel confused.

Oh my god, I need to do an update before I finish the book! 😂 so I’m finally starting to feel the point of the book. Up until this point I was rather a little confused about what the beginning of the book REALLY had to do with what happened in the following pages, but I get it now, I get it. I like this book, love it at times!, but I feel like we wandered too far from what I thought I was getting myself into

Husband and I picked this book up right after getting married. I actually reserved it the week before, but holds, you know. We enjoyed the chapter on how to apologize, that was a good one, but other than that found the book to be outdated, not applicable to us, and that the author plugged his other work way too much 😂 I’m sure back in the day this advice was helpful, but it just wasn’t meant for us today.

I ADORED rereading this book. Kat and Heath and I mean the whole cast just have such a story…. Adore, adore, adore!!!! this book. I loved noticing things I didn’t notice the first time around and realizing that the young Russian girl was never the villain, I do wonder what happened to her after she quit. I hope for her sake that she’s doing something she loves. I also really appreciated Bella this time around!

Me and Annie took a little bit of a turn, but I still adored this book, it was a really sweet read and a nice break from all the heaviness of lately 😂 Annie getting a reality check, briefly falling off with love, then coming back and realizing she could be the one to make to grand gesture and still have her version of a fairytale was sweet. For sure a cute read!

It’s not that I’m dnfing this book, really I have been enjoying it! I just had this realization the other day that the reason I was dragging to pick it up is because I’m exhausted of reading books that follow this ensemble of a cast. Like every time we switch to a new character I’m going over in my head what we know about them and what they were doing last and it’s exhausting! 😂 so I’m taking a break

After hearing about the name of this book alone, I knew I had to give it a try and it is very cute so far! The main character Annie is adorable and I love her, I do think she takes life a little too seriously at times like certain issues with Drew I get, but before she met him she had this idea that he was a guy who never takes life seriously just because he messes around with the paparazzi, like it’s fine lmao

I started listening to this book really a few weeks ago, but haven’t made much progress. It’s not that it’s not interesting, it’s just we meet all these characters, we’re leading up to this big game, but in the back of my mind is what we started chapter 1 with and when are we getting back to that??? Like I like these people so far, some more than others, but there’s so much going on…. It’s a lot

When I restarted this book I had this fear I wouldn’t like it as much. I mean I didn’t doubt it was still a 5 star, oh my god this book is gold! But I did think to myself ‘it’s probably too soon to reread, it’s been 4-5 months, no way will it still make me gasp and laugh and all’ but oh my god I was so wrong! I notice the foreshadowing now, it all still makes me scream and I love it like the first time!

Got the chance to listen to this book again and for technical reasons I initially was holding off, but stepping back into this story I forget how fun it is and I forgot just how much of a whirlwind adventure it takes you on. I am noticing things I didn’t notice the first time around and the gasp that came from me when the people who ruin everything in the end came up in the beginning…. Unbelievable 😂

So consider this a soft soft dnf. I’m not dnfing it technically, it’s just going to go back to my tbr for a few weeks because it’s so damn depressing and I couldn’t bring myself to listen to it anymore 😂 like people talk about A Little Life being so sad and this book didn’t make me cry, but it made me spiral into a deep depressive state which I think is worse lmao. So I need a break, just for a bit

Lmao, clearly took a bit of a reading break (and for good reason! I got marrrrrriiied) but I think it’s about time I come and clean up my goodreads 😂 I have been trying out this system and I love it! I haven’t fully incorporated it, a bit busy with getting married, and honestly I’m probably about to get really busy with work, but when I have the time to I’m going to fully incorporate it because I love it!

This might be unhinged, but why is this book so good?? Why did it have me cracking up and feeling so understood? 😂 while I still have my hold of the audiobook I’m going to set up the system and do some updates to tell you how it’s going and if I feel like it’s working :) not going to mark it finished or rate it yet, but I’m dead ass thinking of giving this book 5 stars lmao. Is that unhinged?

I heard about the index card system for cleaning and so I wanted to check this book out, picked up the audiobook on Libby and was unprepared for just how funny this book was about to be. I love these sisters! 😂 like at the beginning when they said take comfort in knowing someone was worse, I thought we’ll see, but they’re right, I feel better that someone out there struggled harder than me and recovered lmao
