But honestly that’s my only complaint I liked the rest of the book a whole lot so I think I’m going to go with a 4.5 on this one! Reading thrillers this month has been a lot of fun and I’ll continue to check some out, but I do think I’m about ready to get back to some romances! So I’ll see what my coworker recommends next, but until then, until we meet again Freida :)

I liked this book a lot! It was hilarious at points, I’m not going to lie, when she thought that man was a rapist, but he was actually a therapist, I closed my book and had a good laugh, this book was a lot of fun! I enjoyed Charly and the back and forth timeline and the whole cast of characters at the hospital! My only complaint is the husband....fuck that guy! And I hate that he got a whole villain monologue

And it’s tough because it’s not like I can check if a book has certain twists. But it was fun! The end picks up again and I’m glad that some characters got a good ending and at the same time I will say that’s another issue I had….. me and girlie would not have made the same decisions 😂 but it’s fine, because when we find out what we find out, I realize I would probably be dead in the end 😂 3 stars!

I liked this book a lot when I started it! Girl accepts a ride from a stranger, quickly comes to realize he may be the campus killer. Very intriguing! Around page 100 I started feeling like it was going a little slow until around probably the last third where it picks back up again. As I read more thrillers, I’m having a lot of fun, but I’m quickly realizing what type of twists don’t work for me 😂 (pt. 1)

Lmao, the ending did not make it better. I kind of hate that the twist is her brother? And we literally never could have guessed that because he seemed so loving from what we heard. Anyways, I didn’t hate it, a solid 3 star read, I just hope her other books are better 😂also don’t love that Polly was redeemed, but good for Sadie getting a better home! I was lent Brain Damage next, so we’re off to that one :)

I picked up this book mainly so I could read it alongside my mom, one of my favorite people ❤️❤️, and while I enjoyed it, I definitely did not enjoy it as much as Never Lie! I didn’t enjoy the twists much and I didn’t like Polly! I think we’re supposed to feel bad for her, but I didn’t….. I didn’t like her…. We’ll see…. Maybe the end will make it better.

I’ve felt like books have ended mid-scene, but this just felt next level 😂 not going to lie, was not a fan of this novela! For all the world building and endless pages the other books give, why is this so short and lacking?? Like seriously, I thought I would enjoy this series way more than I am 😭 but anyways, onto the third book I guess! 2.5……

I’ve heard such great things about this author so I was so thrilled to get to read one of her books finally! I was gripped from the very start!!! This book was soooo good! And I started picking up on it a little bit at the end and the way I thought I had it, and the way I shut the book when the actual reveal came out, lmao. omg this book was so good and I can’t wait to check out more books by this author! 5🌟s

Well I appreciate that Lena and Ethan are finally back together but idk, I’m kind of over the plot and the villains 😂 curious to see what will come of Link, Ridley, and Macon. But like Sarafine, Abraham, Hunting, I just don’t care! Enjoyed this one a little less than the first book and I did raise my rating of the first to 4 stars and I think I’ll give this one 3.5….. and onto the next…. In a few books!

“She gets with dead people? That’s the kind of thing a person should keep to themselves.” No literally though 😂 I’m definitely not enjoying this book as much as I wanted to. I miss Lena! I don’t enjoy this they can’t be together thing and Ethan going back and forth whether he is meant to be with someone like Liv. And once again, it just feels like the pacing is off. I feel like so little is happening.

I’m finally getting back into this book after a loooong break, but you know what, sometimes you just need a break! And now that I’m back I’m appreciating it more than I think I would have if I would have just pushed through. And we love Shannon and Johnny having their firsts together (well firsts for Shannon, first feelings wise for Johnny) and also looooving Gibsie and Lizzie even coming up more!

Didn’t know the book would spend so much time with Lena and Ethan apart this book 🥲 tbh, I mean I get what they’re going for that Ethan will never be able to relate to Lena as a caster, but I feel like Macon passing should have driven the pair closer together?? And now they both have a thing going on with separate people and I hate it! Especially John! Fuck that guy! Liv is fine though, she seems sweet enough

You know what, I’ll make one final comment. Not Norman messing with Jeanie for weeks because he wanted to run the cafe, confessing to it all and quitting, then finding out Jeanie’s Aunt is in love with Norman and they just run away together??? I mean good for them but what in the ever loving if these beyond grown adults don’t tell each other how they feel about each other!!! 3.5 just for the extra fun 😂

Yeah, the more I think about it, I didn’t really like Logan 😂 Jeanie on the other hand was a delight. I appreciated her fear of dying by her work and no one else. So I’m excited to check out the other books in this series, this one just didn’t hit for me as well! Might not update again and if I don’t 3 stars and onto the cinnamon bun cinema?? Lmao, just a guess 😂

I like these books. They’re cute books within a cute series and they have so much more depth than you expect them to. Something went wrong with this book and to be honest I think it’s two things. 1. I wasn’t a fan of Logan still not necessarily being hung up on his ex, but being hung up on what happened with his ex. Then 2 I wasn’t a fan of Logan deciding Jeanie was leaving despite her saying opposite.

I liked this book, but it was so slow and I wish the romance was a bigger part of the story. Also had problems with things just not being explained well. It was fun that it had such a unique concept, it just wasn’t the best written…. I’m excited to watch the movie again though and I will be continuing on to at least the next one! 3 stars and and cheers :)

Omg I loved this series!! This one was my favorite for sure, a good 4.5, had my heart pounding!!! I loved Logan fully accepting Lana, I loved Jake and Hadley getting together, and I couldn’t breathe when I thought they got Lana!!! This book was intense and I loved it! I wish we would have gotten a little more with our couple, but the plot was everything!!! Really did enjoy this series 🥰 Will likely reread :)

That ending was brutal 😭 Logan finding out who she was, or who he thought she was, and and then the way he came in and just did her like that 🤧 my poor girl. Normally, I’m reluctant to go into the last book of a series, but I’m just ready to find out what happens to Lana and see Lana get her happy ending. My baby deserves it!! 4 happy stars and onto the last!!!

This book has me holding my breath, waiting to see what’s going to happen next! I love it, it’s soooooo good! Someone said the 4th and 5th books get darker than the first 3 were and I’m seeing what they mean, but I’m strapped in, needing to know how this is all going to end!!!!! 😂

We just found out what happened on THAT night, and yeah…. That was dark 😂 darker than I was expecting 😂 and it just makes you go, yeah, maybe she’s justified in killing them all lmaoooo. But anyways! The fourth book is already off to a bang and I’m enjoying this series a lot! It’s not top tier of my favorites, but it’s a lot of fun! Which is a funny thing to say considering how dark some of it is!

Another great one! I love the happy and in love couple, but I love the plot even more! I can’t believe I thought our girl was in trouble! I love finding out more about what happened to Lana and her brother that night, and the blossoming friendship between Hadley and Lana is a pleasant surprise! Love that she’s on Lana’s side fully 😂 onto the next!!! Oh and I think I’ll go with a solid 4 star!

I am loooooving this book, it’s absolutely hilarious! I don’t know how Lana and Jake, who is faking being paralyzed from the waist down, are doing it, but they’re getting away with it for now! It feels funny rooting them on, but here I am 😂

Okay! Color me intrigued! I got a little lost at a few points where I clearly zoned out for a minute, but we’re introducing some new people and new plotlines! And now it seems our girl has gotten herself taken so we’ll have to see how that plays out. I’m not obsessed, but I’m along for the ride! Going to go with 4 stars and onto the next :)

I’m enjoying this book so much 🥺 like I don’t know how, but it feels like such a stark difference to the first book. Realistically, I know why, it’s the first book newness that drags the pacing down, but now I’m so into the characters! My bad bitch Lana, sweet and well meaning Logan, and even protective Hadley 😭 well I’m going to get back to it, just wanted to say that I am amazed lmao.

This was a nice start to the series! I find it weird that it’s split into 5 books when it seems like it really could have been just 1 big book. But you know what, my reading count says ‘go off queen!’ 😂 I like the characters and I like the plot so far but we will see where it goes! Lana gives me Venessa from Hexed vibes and I love her so it’s a good sign! 3 stars and let’s start the next!

Absolutely loving this book right now! Even more than the first one honestly! It’s so saaad but already so perfectly set up after that last book so now the characters are just getting to shine! And we’re seeing some characters on the up while we’re seeing others start to go down a concerning path so hopefully it’ll be a happy story for all in the end!

I kind of wish she just admitted she couldn’t be herself with him or that she ultimately felt Gabe was the one because her saying that he couldn’t love who she was but never giving him the chance to actually see wasn’t fair. I appreciate the idea that she’ll live happily ever after with Gabe, but definitely wish we could have seen more of that and how it would have worked with fam! They’ll make it! 2 🌟

I liked the idea of the plot and appreciated the plotline of the unexpected pregnancy and how when he eventually found out, how he reacted. I wish we had more time to see Molly and Gabe together but I do appreciate that after the last book and it’s messiness that Molly said I can’t do that again 😂 my one gripe is I feel like her reason for breaking up with the current boyfriend was weak….

Discovered this sequel and was excited to check it out despite not loving the first one. My big issue came down to whatever happened in the end with going back and forth between the boys so I thought this book would be her and Gabe’s second chance….. and it was…. The book just spent so much time focusing on the current boyfriend that toward the end of the book I was questioning who she was ending up with.

So while initially I would have given it 4 stars, it just got too lost in it and I will be giving it a 3 unfortunately.i had fun reading it, but I think I’ll let someone else find my physically copy and read it themselves! So thanks for the fun concept and we’ll see about checking out any more books by this author! Go me for getting this done in August like I wanted to!
