So 4 stars, no notes, I’m just super proud of Dan and him writing and researching for how to make this book the best he could. I would easily recommend this book to anyone really, but especially anyone struggling a little bit and needing a better understanding of their mental health and how EVERYTHING affects it. So kudos! ❤️❤️

Coming from a mental health background, I knew a lot of what this book talked about, but that being said, some of the different exercises and just ways he used his own experiences to explain how different things affect your mental health was very helpful. For anyone not from a mental health background I can only imagine that this book felt profoundly helpful as it does give really great suggestions.

Dan is forever going to be one of my first favorite YouTubers ❤️ I discovered him when I was 14 years old, so over a decade ago, and to this day he’s one of the few remaining genuine original YouTubers out there and I respect the heck out of him. We’ve always had similarities and I knew when he announced this book that it would be right up my alley. Took me a while to finally read it, but soooo happy I did

Special shoutout to Lester for being the best big brother ever! I love that he’s going to teach her to drive and that he invited her to the party at the end and saved the day without embarrassing her!!!!! Best big brother ever ❤️ also, I love how Penny and Alice essentially made up. They don’t ever have to be best friends, but I love that Alice has stopped being hostile toward her at least.

This was an interesting start of the year for Alice! It was funny because for years Alice just wanted a mother so when Sylvia did move in and it felt weird instead of natural, it was unsettling. I felt for her….. a lot of changes all at once and not feeling included is tough….. especially within your own home. I love that by the end things get worked out and Alice and Sylvia have that special moment on xmas.

Well that’s a wrap for the official twilight series! I had great fun! It’s crazy to me that’s it’s over though, I’m so much looking foward to the spin offs that I don’t think it’s hit me to be sad yet, ask me again how I feel in a few weeks 😂 I’ll miss these characters and the writing I’ve become used to. Were they the best books ever? Absolutely not, but they get extra points for being so fun!

“I couldn’t tell if it was a girl in her underpants or one of the witches out of Macbeth.” is craaaaaazy work 😂 lmaooo, Lester is too funny and I miss him living at the house. Love hearing about him anytime he comes up anyways! He’s always just too funny!

It’s just so funny to me that I finally got around to reading these books. I’m 26 now, the Eclipse movie came out on my 11th birthday (and yes I went and saw it 🥰) so what the fuck am I doing just getting around to the books? 😂oh well, better late than never! Never imagined how much I would love this series even in my 20’s 😭

Genuinely great read though! I loooooved Jacobs pov and meeting all the other vampires and finding out about them and their powers were super cool! I also loved us diving into the Volturi a little more before we closed the book. Wow…. I can’t believe this was the last book, but you best believe I will be back for Midnight Sun and The Life and Death book so this is not goodbye yet!

I haven’t updated in a really long time and I’m about to finish the book: let me explain lmaooooo. Okay, this was a great last book to the series! It was just 452 pages in that I thought to myself ‘I’ve read a whole book already, it’s almost done, right?’ Yeah, sure if you consider 300 more pages almost done 😭 great book really, but ommmmg why did it need to be so loooooooong? 😂

Finished book 2 and Jacob’s view. That was fun! I enjoyed it a lot actually, I can’t lie. Jacob was funny and getting extra time with him added more depth to him, he’s still desperate and chasing love, but you know, he’s found his one now 😂😂 sad we don’t get more Jacob imprinting thoughts, that would have been fun. Already looking foward to reading the spin offs when I finish this book, having a time!

Quick pause to say I appreciate Stephanie Meyer fully stepping into the changing charter even down to the chapter names. Bella’s chapter names are always short, don’t always immediately make sense, but at some point in the chapter, you go ‘ah’. Why are Jacob’s chapter titles so hilarious? 😂 it’s most definitely his own voice and more him narrating what’s happening instead of hints of what will come

Just finished book 1….. the honeymoon was nice 😂 now Bella and Edward are on their way home and we’re entering Jacob’s perspective. I’m curious how I’ll like being in his head compared to Bella’s, I think it’ll be interesting for sure, but we’ll give it a chance. Now that I’m thinking about it, that explains why we stop seeing Bella in the movie and when we see her again things are so different

Why is Alice such a bully?? 😂 I never saw her becoming a little mean girl in high school. I don’t even think she’s meaning to, I think that filter is just defective and it flies out before she can stop it 😂 it’s just funny and crazy all at once. Like Penny will not be able to live down her homewrecking days and maybe she’s an awful person but maybe it was just a mistake and now she’s being ostracized

Finally back at it with another book! Back to my girl Alice!!! I love this little girl and she’s not so little anymore 😭 10th grade already??? Is this what it feels like having kids? 😂 lmao, her dad just got married and that was beautiful! Took me back to my own wedding and my sisters wedding last year :) (crazy thing to say by the way, a married woman for almost 5 months now!!!)

The thing is though, if we remove ourselves from the rating we also have to remove ourselves from the reading and I just can’t get behind that. 2. Once you know the plotline of the baby vampire army being built by Victoria, you spend those 400-500 pages until they figure it out going ‘well duh’ at every new revelation 😂 and it’s not the books fault, but it was funny to me. Anyways, fun reading!

Lmao, 15 percent in, sure, that was supposed to be 97 but it’s fine, lmao. 1. I never thought about how I rated books, it was just a feeling, but I hate that someone got in my head one day about how we should be rating books more objectively because when we rate subjectively we skew the rating. I totally get what they’re saying because objectively this book is def 3 stars, but subjectively I’m giving it 4 😳

I don’t even have anything to say for myself, what do you mean she didn’t do a single update the entire time??? I enjoyed the book though, had a little bit of a lull where I stopped reading it for about a week and a half and then the way I came back and finished the last 200 pages in 1 day 😂 I have 2 things to say, the first about how I rate books and the second the only real thought I had about this book.

And no one paused to say “you’re doing what sweetie?” Now them never coming around the others makes a whole lot of sense, but I still don’t think I like it. I don’t like the story being told from Cady’s battered recall of the situation and I didn’t like the characters enough that I’m heartbroken about the reveal. It’s sad, absolutely, but I don’t know, I just didn’t connect to it like I wanted

Sometimes it feels good to finish a book you’ve had around for years even if you’re not too sure you actually enjoyed the book. I enjoyed….. parts….. but I’ll be honest even though the ending is shocking, I don’t think I like it. I don’t think I like the fact that *spoiler lmao* the kids were there the whole summer but just ghosts? Did she not talk to anyone about ‘oh me and Mirren are doing xyz’

As I go into what I assume will be the last part of the book, a pre-final update. Yeah, I didn’t like this book…. like not 2 star bad, but definitely 3 star you can skip out on this one 😂 it’s just…… being told the story as Cady remembers it is kind of annoying and I feel like the truth just isn’t going to pay off. There’s way too many details that were left out, it’s just…… not doing it for me

The ending felt a little abrupt, but I had so much fun reading this book! Thought I would hate it because it’s definitely the most boring of the movies, but I don’t know, Bella slowly getting to know Jacob was nice….. he’s still a little too desperate in the way he wants to be with her but considering she’s the same with Edward, it checks out. Also, why is Jacob named after Stephenie’s brother? Lmao

I’m 50 pages in and I’m….. confused. We sometimes speak in metaphors and I can’t tell when we’re not? Lmao. Like she keeps talking about bleeding and I don’t know if she’s actually bleeding, like she hurts herself or it’s just a metaphor. And what is going on with her?? What happened in the water that night, why didn’t Gat call, and if nothing was wrong originally what’s with these bad migraines?

One small note before we continue though, it’s so dramatic and I know that. Like, if I had a daughter that was 18 and she’s talking about she’s lived the best part of her life after a few months with a boy I would have to snap her out of that 😂 why isn’t Bella in therapy? The world doesn’t know. So I know it’s overly dramatic, but at the same time it’s just so funny and cute at times lmaooo

Let me just say….. I never expected to read the Twilight series in my mid to late 20’s and be absolutely melting about Bella and Edward 😂😂 what is happening? Only my teenage me can answer I guess! But absolutely enjoying this book!!! Already know it’s going to be a 4 star, I’ve been having an absolute time with this gem of a book! Lmao, will always love this series, movies and now books 🥰

So a fun read! I know it’s a series, I have to read the description of the next book to decide if I’m going to continue, but definitely no more after that from this author, just not for me! I wanted the book to lead to something more and I wanted several of those characters to get what they deserved in the end because the cast was phenomenal! I loved these people! Shame some of them just got the short end.

Yup….. that surely was a book I read there 😂 it’s odd to say I’m disappointed by this book and then still going to give it 4 stars lmao, because it wasn’t a bad book! I just…. I’m disappointed by the end for one thing. Like I get it, but what was the point of having this whole mysterious prologue just to get to the end and it doesn’t really happen? Like it wasn’t a lie, just misleading….. idk…

This is another one of those books where it’s good….. but omg why won’t it end??? I thought I was really going to like this author, I don’t and that’s fine, but I reaaaaally want to finish this book and it’s just going on and on and on lmao. It’s not even that’s it’s boring, it’s just that it’s one of those books where I miss 1 line and I have to rewind…. Guess who keeps rewinding 🥲

Now that I’m almost halfway through, I should probably update 🫣 first off, why am I enjoying this even more than Twilight??? Like is homegirl moping around, depressed as fuck at 18 talking about she lived the best part of her life? Yes….. 😳 but it’s entertaining! Lmaooooo. I don’t know what it is, but I am eating this book up! Wanted to finish before the New Year, likely won’t happen, but all good!

And we’re back baby! I decided to restart because apparently I was 30% in but then when trying to recount what happened, I could tell my mom like 2 things about the book 😂 but so far I’m really enjoying it again! Now that I rested my confused and tired little mind, I’m excited to see where it’s going :)
