The concept of this sounded right up my alley, esp bc according to one review, Verity's ASAB is never mentioned? But I'm not in love with the writing/characterization, too much telling vs showing and the "pushy cis dude, reluctant nb" romance angle is really creeping me out :/ Plus weeeeird "true BDSM" type ideas and poly doesn't even exist as a concept? Also in what world is a french kiss "chaste" for a 1st kiss??

so many good and intense elements so far (sign language! bear shifter! trauma! gay/nb romance!) and also i am having a really really hard time following the plot/world-building and character motivations, which is kinda a problem bc it's v plot heavy. not sure if it's me being v brains at the moment or not haha, contemplating coming back when i'm in a different mood plotwise and seeing if it makes more sense then
